Located at 1501 Berryessa Rd Suite 35, San Jose, CA 95133, Haiku Teahouse operates as a bubble tea shop serving San Jose in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Tea in the United States covers everything from a traditional Chinese or Japanese tea house to a Southern sweet-tea counter, and the fastest-growing segment is bubble tea: Taiwanese-style milk teas and fruit teas with tapioca pearls, sold by chains and independents alike with adjustable sugar and ice levels. Tea rooms serving afternoon tea with scones and sandwiches usually require a reservation, while boba shops, juice bars and smoothie shops are walk-in and quick. Kava and kombucha bars are a newer category, and loose-leaf tea stores sell blends, teaware and gifts, often with a tasting counter. Prices for a drink run similar to coffee-shop prices, with premium teas and cold-pressed juices at the high end.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 7 amβ9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Haiku Teahouse at (408) 320-8007; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, haikuteahouse.com.

San Jose is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Jose is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Very happy they open earlier than many other matcha spots! I got a regular matcha latte. Satisfied my craving. Good quality matcha. My mom got a hojicha latte, and she liked it. The interior is spacious decorated with cute little items.

Iβve been to Haiku Teahouse for so many times I honestly canβt even keep track anymore, but one thing is for sure, Iβm a big fan here. Their drinks are super legit. Thereβs one I always recommend to my friends, which is the corn einspanner. You have to try it. Itβs so good in a weirdly comforting way, like it fixes something in me every time I drink it. Maybe itβs because it tastes exactly like corn milk - the kind I used to have for breakfast back in Vietnam. I also really like their matcha. Itβs strong, high quality, and honestly their cream foam is one of the best in the Bay Area. Super smooth and not too sweet. Iβve never had a bad drink here. Everything is consistent which is kind of rare these days. If youβre around, you really should check them out.

Really good. Ordered the hojicha latte with strawberry cream top (a seasonal special) and lactose free whole milk. All the milk options are lactose free with no extra charge. The drink had dried strawberry slices inside and also on top as a garnish. Cute and delicious. After 20% tip my total was $10.20. Walking distance from Safeway, where I parked. There are a few tables for two inside and were also a couple tables inside. On a Monday afternoon it wasn't busy but it wasn't dead either.

Just ordered this on April 2 at 11:47 am. I usually order my matcha latte and this four spring latte. But this time both of the drinks were bad. My matcha was milky, but this Four spring is worst. This is so milky and bitter, I have never experienced this taste before. Both my sister and I took one sip and had to spit it out. Whoever made this drink most likely messed up. Look at the color.

I tried the hojicha black sesame latte at Haiku and I am absolutely obsessed with it! The hojicha itself is really good and you can really taste the black sesame flavor (likely because they use a house made black sesame milk). At 25% sweetness, the drink is perfect to me. I was visiting San Jose and went to Haiku almost daily to get this drink. I will make sure to stop by every time I am in the area from now on. There is a dedicated free parking garage and some limited indoor seating (maybe 3-4 tables). They are dog friendly and there is also a bathroom. The shop was pretty busy each time I visited but the staff was friendly and pretty quick. I definitely recommend coming to Haiku for the hojicha black sesame latte if that kind of drink is your thing.
